I'm into the punk style and all, I wear dark makeup but, I don't know how to mix colours or define the eyes, or make it smokey.I have brown-green eyes and light brown hair with black streaks.Any fellow punk or emo or anyone, please tell me, thx tonz

heres how i do it- u can try the normal black/grey version or try browns

1. Use a light (skin toned) colour all over the eye- lashes to brow.

2. Use a black eyeliner and use just above the lashes- doesn閳ユ獩 matter too much if it閳ユΞ a bit messy.

3. Use a cotton bud with a dark eyeshadow on it and go over the eyeliner- making it smudgy.

4. Line under the bottom lashes with a pencil eyeliner and smudge using a clean cotton bud.

5. Use a middle toned eyeshadow (an in-between colour of the ones using) and go over the lid of your eye and just up to the brow bone or just above the crease- which ever you like better.

6. Blend or smudge the middle colour upwards into the lighter colour- just the top edge of the middle colour so you still have colour on your lid.

7. Use mascara- and don閳ユ獩 forget eyelash curler first- apply mascara to the bottom aswell-if you want.

I am not emo but....... try putting on green color lens if you can buy it...... try to put black eye liner or lot of maskara and black eye make up and you other parts of you skin should be pale kinda... if that helps try it.... but I am not sure

use a dark shade on ur lid, a medium shade on ur crease, and a light shade on ur browbone. this makes the eye pop. also, using dark liner on the top lid and drawing an upward line helps. put a dot of mascara at the outer corner of ur eye, then smudge it for a smoky effect.

I would also suggest that you put mascara on both sides of your lashes, on the top and bottom of your upper and lower lashes. Before it dries use a eyelash brush to get rid of the clumps. Rinse the brush so it's clean the next time you put on your mascara.

Buy new mascara every 6 to 8 weeks, because germs get into the bottle when you pump it to get the mascara on the brush.

And don't forget to curl those lashes. It opens up the eyes and make them look bigger.

here is my smokey eye...step by step and simple as can be...

start with a thin layer of shadow base or eye primer

black or dark grey shadow in the shape of a sideways V on the corner of the eye, working into the crease with a flat shadow brush (i use merle norman shadow in ebony and palladio flat shadow brush)

lighter grey shimmer shadow over the lid with a contour shadow brush, blending into the first darker shade (mac idol eyes is my favorite for this step, with a mark contour brush)

silvery/champagne shimmer shadow under the brow bone and dotted on inner corners of eyes with full shadow brush (merle norman shadow in sun beam with avon shader brush)

black liner all the way across top lid, slightly thicker on outer edges, and 3/4 way across bottom (avon glimmersticks liner in blackest black)

sweep thin line of medium shimmer grey under lower lash line, below and slightly over black liner

curl lashes and add 2 coats of volumizing black mascara (maybelline volum' express turbo boost 7Xs mascara in black)

-you can also do a smokey eye with shades of brown, purple, green... any color. i am wearing a smokey eye in greens right now... nile/vine duo from merle norman.

stila (at sephora) has a smokey eye kit that has 4 shadows in a palette...push a tiny button and a voice speaks instructions to you. there is also a holographic image of an eye that shows where the different shades go when you turn it. 30-something $$$

for drugstore palettes, try revlon, loreal, covergirl and maybelline. i know all of those lines carry them, but not sure of the names. avon also has a shadow quads. "sueded nudes" is a good one for browns, and "smokey eyes" is good for greys, although the greys are on the lighter side. you could also try "fresh cut greens" and "vintage violets".
